TECHNIQUES
I use watercolour mainly for botanical art, otherwise I love using oil paint and acrylics for my art.

APPROACH AND INSPIRATION
Ireland’s landscape and nature is my first source of inspiration. My grandad (with his pencil drawings), my aunties Mariella (founder of Ortodiffuso) and Emanuela Bussolati (well-known children’s book illustrator in Italy) and my mother’s love for art deeply inspired me through my life with their art and passion for nature. I recently got inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe, not only for her flower subjects but also for her approach to nature and ecology. Through botanical art I learned how much I love to take care of Mother Earth, growing my own plants and being aware of the effect they have on our health and well being.

BIOGRAPHY
I was born in Italy in 1986 and came to Ireland in 2012. After a BA degree in Illustration and Multimedia Animation, I then left my job as graphic designer for J-pop, Disney Digicomics and Edizioni BD. I left Milan to find myself in the countryside of Ireland, painting flowers and nature. I studied horticulture with the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland and I have a certificate as Organic Grower of Ireland. My work is very flexible and always connected with nature.
