APPROACH AND INSPIRATION

BIOGRAPHY
I studied Fine Art at DIT College of Marketing and Design and have specialised in Botanical Art for the last ten years.

EXHIBITIONS AND AWARDS
As a long term project I have been working on a collection of paintings of plants from Kilmacurragh (part of the National Botanic Gardens) since 2009. These paintings were exhibited in the National Botanic Gardens in August of 2014. A selection of six of these paintings won a Silver medal at the Royal Horticultural Show in London in 2013.

I have also painted three plants from Kilmacurragh to accompany articles written by Seamus O’Brien for Curtis’ Botanical Magazine.

I have taken part in various group exhibitions, including Aibítir and Plandaí Oidhreachta; I’ve had a solo exhibition; and my work is held in many private collections.
